Local Men’s Clubs: Strengthening Bonds Across the Globe

Many of us have old or unused t’fillin in closets, synagogue bins, or inherited boxes that no longer get used. Meanwhile, Kulanu supports isolated, emerging, and returning Jewish communities around the world—communities building Jewish life with limited access to ritual items.

Our mitzvah mission: collect and donate t’fillin from our communities—any size, any condition—and send them to Kulanu for distribution to partner communities.

What to donate:

  • T’fillin (shel yad + shel rosh) — complete sets preferred, but partials still welcome
  • Cases/bags (if you have them)
  • Straps (retzuot)

One simple request:

If a set’s kashrut is questionable, just label it clearly as “questionable.” That’s it.

Where to send donations:

A second goal: build relationship, not just shipment

This isn’t only about getting t’fillin into the right hands. It’s also about growing a shared community across distance. We want to invite the recipients of these t’fillin to join FJMC International for the World Wide Wrap in February—expanding our circle and literally strengthening bonds through the ritual of binding ourselves to our tradition.

If your men’s club will participate, email Rabbi Raucher at and we’ll share the mailing address. Here is a simple donation drive checklist you can run in one week.
